Operations Consultant Sarah Hanson

Sarah has dedicated her entire professional career to working with urban and underserved populations. She is driven by equity and believes that education is one means to that end. The highlight of Sarah’s career has been working with families, children, and other mission-driven people in this important work. Sarah has been Dean of Operations at Hiawatha Academies, Executive Director, and Director of Operations at West Side Summit Charter School. Sarah earned her Master of Education at the University of North Texas and a Bachelor’s degree, in Human Resources Development at the University of Minnesota.

Karen has been engaged in Minnesota charter schools from various perspectives over the last 20 years. Karen provides a school leader and organizational perspective as well as her policy and advocacy experience as a state legislator. She also served as the Assistant/Deputy Commissioner of the Minnesota Department of Education.
